MOVE YOUR FACE with Boston Theater Company

Move Your Face: an action play about getting action is a 75 minute devised show about dating in the age of the dating app. The show builds on the notion that our mouths can easily lie, but our bodies cannot.

MYF follows the story of a millennial named Lilly as she navigates the modern world of dating. Following bad Tinder date after bad Tinder date, she grows weary of the contemporary online dating scene. With her two best friends by her side, Lilly starts to discover what is important in her life.

2019 IRNE Nomination for Best Play (Fringe) for NSFW

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) today announced the nominees for the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards, which honor the best of the previous year’s actors, directors, choreographers, designers and companies across the full spectrum of large, mid-size and fringe theater companies. 

 

Ivy's fall production of NSFW with Theatre on Fire was nominated for a total of 4 awards including Best Play (Fringe)! Winners will be announced Monday April 8th.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST Stage Reading

Ivy will be playing Candy Starr and Nurse Flinn in a staged reading of the seminal American classic, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest with Theatre UnCorked, directed by the acclaimed Bobbie Steinbach.

FIRST DAY AS A TEACHING ARTIST FELLOW

Ivy officially began her new job as the Huntington Theatre Company's Teaching Artist Fellow for the 2018/2019 season! This year Ivy will continue to deepen connections and build community with the 30,000 students, teachers, and community organizations the Education Department works with each school year.

Teaching Up a Storm!

This summer Ivy is teaching all around town!!

For July, in the mornings Ivy is making theatre in Studio Discovery with 4-6 year olds at Boston Children's Theatre and at night she is a faculty member for the Boston University Summer Theatre Institute, teaching Collaborative Theatre Ensemble to high schoolers from all over the world.

Starting in August, Ivy will be teaching acting and movement to The Tiny Triple Threats (K-2) at Watertown Children's Theatre and working as an actor-facilitator with True To Life Trainingempowering people to do right in their lives in communities all around the country.

Developing New Plays!

This spring Ivy has devoted a lot of time to developing new plays in the Greater Boston area with both Emerson College, second year MFA Playwriting students at Boston Playwrights' Theatre, Lesley University, and young playwrights as a part of  New Noises (The Massachusetts Young Playwrights' Project Festival). Ivy has had the pleasure to work with a bunch of fantastic local playwrights including Beirut Balutis, Kira Rockwell, and Damon Krometis. Support new work!

Staged Reading of AT THE LINE by Lynne S. Brandon

Today we had our first table read of At the Line by Lynne S. Brandon for Rad Fem Art, which will have a staged reading in May! Ivy is stepping into uncharted waters and playing Katy, an assistant coach for a champion college basketball team.

DARK ROOM Workshop with Bridge Repertory Theater

This week, Ivy has the pleasure of workshopping a haunting new play, Dark Room, by George Brant, which will have it's world premiere this summer! Along with an ensemble of 20 incredible women, guided by artists from the Doppelgänger Dance Collective, they are exploring the physical world and vocabulary of Dark Room. Education Apprenticeship at The Huntington Theatre Company

Starting today, Ivy began her new job as The Huntington Theatre Company's 2017/2018 season Education Apprentice! This year Ivy will be collaborating with the Education and Community Programs Department to serve over 30,000 students, teachers, and community organizations with student matinees, state-wide Poetry Out Loud, The August Wilson Monologue Competition, a partnership with Codman Academy Charter Public School in Dorchester, and The Not Waiting on the World to Change program. EGGS by Laura Neill at Theatre on Fire's Cabinet of Curiosities

Theatre on Fire's CABINET OF CURIOSITIES is a genre-defying festival of theatre, movement, music, puppetry and more, united under one theme: take a risk. It is a 3 week long festival with pieces produced by 14 different groups.

Ivy will be performing in Eggs  by Laura Neill, a short play about a struggling actress named Demi who puts on a play to grapple with the question, "to sell, or not to sell" her perfectly viable eggs.

Boston Theater Maraton XIX

Boston Playwrights’ Theatre produces the Boston Theater Marathon (BTM), an award-winning, all-day marathon of new 10-minute plays. The plays are chosen from more than 400 entries from New England playwrights, and the 50 selected plays are produced by 50 New England theatre companies. The BTM gifts its net proceeds to the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund, an organization which helps area theatre artists and companies in crisis.

Ivy will be performing with Fresh Ink Theatre in Social Glue by Vicki Meagher.

Directed by Hannah Pryfogle // Featuring Caleb Cedrone, Leo Blais, & Ava Maag.

This is a one-day festival. The plays begin at noon and are performed continuously until 10 pm with a celebration after!

CRC TOUR 5 comes to a close

After 8 months on the road with Romeo & Juliet and The Scarlet Letter, Ivy's time with Classic Repertory Company has come to a close. This opportunity, these stories, and this ensemble was absolutely life changing for her. They traveled to a total of 6 states and performed for 15,000 people from September - April. This is not an experience she will forget soon.

Staged Reading of Short Plays Inspired by Peabody Essex Museum's World of WearableArt Exhibit

Ivy, along with other actors from New Repertory Theatre's Classic Repertory Company, will present staged readings of short World of WearableArt (WOW) inspired plays written by museum visitors earlier in the week, plus a specially commissioned 10-minute play be local playwright Deirdre Girard.

Closing FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at New Repertory Theatre!

At 12pm on New Year's Day, Ivy got a call saying she was needed for the 2pm closing matinee of Fiddler on the Roof. After a speedy put in rehearsal, she went on for the 31st and final performance of Fiddler on the Roof  for Chava, Fruma Sara, & Woman #1! She couldn't have done it with out the major support of the incredible cast and crew of Fiddler on the Roof  at New Repertory Theatre in Watertown, MA.  What an exciting way to conclude her first understudy experience and beginning of the new year!!
